This past May we celebrated our baby girl Pace’s first birthday with a Southwestern fiesta! We invited friends and family for an afternoon of tacos & cupcakes. A flower and ribbon adorned tee pee acted as an alternative gift table as guests arrived to the party.
Outside, we set up an activity for the kids! Each kid was given a planter to personalize. Once painted, each child got to pick a cactus to plant and take home as a party favor.
The dessert table offered guests succulent cupcakes & cactus cookies from our favorite Jacksonville bakeries and also displayed the sweetest smash cake there ever was, designed by Ali of AlleyCakes. The dessert table was accented with gnarled grapevines, beautiful blooms and fresh cut succulents. Over the dessert table hung a faux bison head with a floral crown mounted on cactus wall paper from ThinkNoirWallPaper.
One of my favorite details of the afternoon was the gold painted high chair with the most beautiful bloom accent designed by the talented ladies of Liz Stewart Floral Design.
Our family bulletin board was used to display some of our favorite pictures of our girl over the past year.
It was a sweet afternoon surrounded by dear friends and family as we celebrated what was quite possibly the fastest year of our lives!
