Becky & Jonathan were two of the most intentional people I have ever had the pleasure of working along side. They carefully selected each detail so that their love story would be on display.
Becky and her beautiful maids spent the morning at the Omni, Amelia Island as they had their hair and make up perfected by the talented ladies of Studio Bride.
Becky & Jonathan shared in a “First Look” prior to the ceremony on property of the Omni, Amelia Island. The following breath taking photographs were captured prior to the ceremony before heading to Walker’s Landing.
Many meaningful traditions were woven through the day of celebration. Prior to the ceremony, Becky and Jonathan, surrounded by their closest family as their witnesses, participated in the Ketubah signing, a Jewish marriage contract. The couple chose words that represented their commitment to each other and were displayed on their custom-made Ketubah.
Becky and Jonathan also followed the Jewish wedding tradition of being married under the Chuppah. The Chuppah represented their first home as a married couple, open on all sides to welcome their community. They were joined under the Chuppah by their siblings and cousin. They stood under the same Chuppah that the grooms parents and grandparents were married under. The ceremony concluded in the tradition of the “Breaking of the glass,” symbolizing the finality of the marital covenant. This tradition serves as a reminder that even in the moment of unity, many parts of the world remain broken and that as they commit to one another, they also commit to building a more equitable and just world for all.
After the ceremony, the couple welcomed their guests on to the deck of Walker’s Landing, over looking the marsh for signature cocktails; “The Handsome Hasak” & “The Beautiful Becky” and Hors D’oeuvre’s that included a custom designed Oyster and Prosecco bar.
Following Cocktail hour the guests were invited inside for dinner and an evening of dancing. The guests tables displayed organic, free form blooms designed by Chandler, of Marble + Pine and were accented with gold mercury votives and custom gold frames that displayed ombre water color table numbers designed by Heather O’Brien Design. A mix of etched glass and pink toned glasses accented the rustic head farm table.
Following dinner guests joined the couple on the dance floor for an evening of dancing! Excitement, laughter, and celebration permeated Walker’s Landing. It was a a memorable evening that Simply Grace Events will soon not forget. Thank you Becky & Jonathan for inviting us into your beautiful love story.
